Thank you so much, Richie for sharing this insight into your special mornings with, Jensen. You have always had such a great relationship with her! I always loved watching your interactions together, the back and forth teasing, the emotional connection you shared and still share and the open conversations you had, it is very special❣️

Thanks....she made it a lot easier by being the kind of person she is....must have gotten that from her Mom...

Thank you for a wonderful 6 years of being my personal driver and chef (although worth mentioning that sometimes your version of “meeting me where I was” was feeding me a brick sandwich. Peanut butter and banana on toast, specially formulated to make your kid shut up and chew for a while). Love you 🩷

Ya....one small correction to the "brick" sandwich. It was on untoasted white bread, sure to fill ones mouth and belly....and, as you noted, "shut up and chew."

Reading your sharing was a great way to begin my day after meditation. I've been aware of how important it is to consciously set up my day for success. Whether that is being fully present for all my relationships, emotionally balanced in order to make wise business decisions or to be attuned to what best serves my body/mind that day. Thank you for bringing this into greater view and giving us a glimpse into your beautiful relationship with Jensen. I always look forward to receiving your insightful and entertaining emails in my inbox. : - )

I always enjoyed taking and picking my kids up from school and now I get to do it once in a while with my granddaughters. It’s just as precious the second time around. :)

Great story. I drove my son to school from age 3 1/2 until he turned 15 1/2. Then he got his permit; a new car (from his generous, loving Dad); and I rarely saw him after that. The mornings driving to school; stopping for a bagel or whatever we yearned for that day at the local Einstein bagel shop; our discussions about everything, but nothing, are some of the most precious memories I carry with me. He was home this past weekend for the holiday. We went on several long walks on the beach, my favorite, happy place. The intervening years melted away. We talked; laughed; shared our political and other frustrations (of which there are many); and it warmed my heart as much as the sun and the sea breeze. When they are small, it seems it will last forever. When they grow up and fly the coop, it seems like a series of wonderful, but vague memories. Thanks Richie. Brought me right back to some wonderful times.

Memories are as clear as if they are my own, of my early days, mornings and evenings, with both of my daughters. Thank you Richie.

And from the looks of things, you're still spending quality time with them. Good for you, Richard!
