Ya know… I think younger generations are different. The more engaged I become with the teens and the 20 and 30-somethings the more I find both sides (of the age coin) say “well fuck, I don’t know, how would you look at this?” And there’s genuine listening, and we learn from and help each other. Not inherent to my generation (I had to learn). Maybe I’m being an idealist (rare), but I think there’s less resistance to asking for help than there used to be…
I'm not so sure I agree that the younger generations are different. My experience has been that younger people would rather attempt to find answers on the internet or AI rather than approaching an individual.
I believe Ageism has always existed. I know I never went to an 'elder' (haha) looking for advice or asking them to be a sounding board. I suspect the same can be said about both our parents and our adult children.
That being stated I would be happy to mentor anyone looking to going into international markets, having had 40 plus years experience, and conducting business in over 100 countries.
