For some reason,, I though "guvna" was going to be Cockney Rhyming Slang, although I couldn't think what it was supposed to rhyme with.. Always happy to learn a useful new word, whatever its source.

Yeah, and that's one of those words that to my ear means what it sounds like...

To be sure, Rich, that was quite a trip! But at least it wasn’t like the “trips” a few of our fellow students took during our tenure at Rutgers! At least you didn’t jump out of the van and think you had landed on the moon!😀

Nope....although I thought of jumping out of the van while driving on the Grapevine....thanks as always for reading....

Pretty sure I couldn't come up with an essay as entertaining as this one based on a drive from SoCal to Marin. And I learned something while being entertained: When I first "read" the word "guvna" my mind saw it as "guano," which, it turned out, was equally appropriate.

I am still amazed each time I read one of your posts. Clever, insightful, and your baby just graduated from Scripps? My first true love went there while I attended Pomona College. When we worked together, I should have spent more time coming by your office to check in on your wit and life perspectives. Oh, that's right, you didn't exactly spend a lot of time in your office.

Keep these posts coming, amigo!
