Love this idea of “I wonder if!” I used it today, and let’s see where it goes! If I wind up with a schmuck, only interested in me for my money, I’ll be sure to complain!😀
Glad you reconnected w/Dan. My brother and I had a similar situation...very different, long estranged, but now we talk monthly via phone (mostly about our getting old and other ailments).
Thanks Donna...."life is too short" is a thought wasted on the young. Kinda like calories. One has to age a bit before they can appreciate this. You'll find out one day when you're "older." :)
I tend to think life is too long to hold a grudge. How many days do I choose to carry the load and burden of my own misperceptions and vanity when the only tangible result is my own angst and suffering? I remember a story of a monk and apprentice carrying a noble across the stream. Gratitude to you for the reminder!
Thanks Andrew. You know the story and the players, and yes, being a jerk is often the easiest way through. But I also think it leads to regret, and I'm trying to have as little of that in my life as I can....
I finally exhaled. I’ve known you both since early childhood. I’ve known you both as individuals during the long exile. I’ve been in constant communication with both of you forever and I’m so thankful that the reconciliation has finally taken place. I’m losing my husband and my heart to Alzheimer’s. It’s brought a distinct awareness of relationships and loss. I’m so happy you and Danny (Dan) got together. My older sister and I have had to reconcile after the passing of our youngest sister. Hold us close. You’ll always be older than I.

No complaining allowed! 🤭
You'd be happy to know that one of the key measures of "Stanislavsky method" is called "The Magic If".....If....as in I wonder if.....
I haven’t thought about Stanislavsky for 50 some years when I had to at RADA….ugh 🎭
I haven’t thought about Stanislavsky. Ever. Didn’t he play for the Rangers?
In my “opinion “ he should have.
Assholedness.
Spilled my White House Honey Ale all over my tan suit when I saw that word.
My pleasure….and thanks for reading…
Thank you for posting this. My sister and I are in a similar situation. Maybe someday…
Hope I at least got you thinking….

Thanks…..and it was Dan who introduced us!!
I really enjoyed this post and will be trying out the “I wonder if” and see what happens. :)
I’m so glad that you and Dan are back in each other’s lives. Life is just too short to hold grudges especially with people we love.
Enjoy!

If I'd known you were holding your breath for so long, I would have reached out to Dan sooner.
And while you're on the other side of the country, I've always held you close. And Happy Birthday(yesterday)!
