I love this. It’s one of those small, perfect moments he’ll probably always remember having with you.

Aww…thanks!

Hold onto these memories because our world views emerge from them. Generations remember relationships and fun. I hope EJ goes home and brags about his hole in one!

For sure about memories. Thanks for reading.

"I wanna play too," I said in my best whiney voice.

We had coal on Diamond Ave and I used to love watching daddy shoveling into the furnace. You were away when I made a miniature golf course in Rho’s backyard. Everyone loved it (except Rho).your dad used to sneak over . It was a running joke at my wedding.

Curmudg's avatar

Ooh. Didn’t know about the golf course.

Indoor putting was the best (carpeted floors that were slightly warped back in Michigan).

Hardwood now, and there's no Putt-Putt out here either. Bummed.

Curmudg's avatar

Yeah….the hardwood makes things more interesting….

I too enjoyed playing ping pong down in our basement in Canton, OH. So many fond memories of beating my younger brother, and feeling rather cool - lol 😆.

Did you have coal heating? Ohio. so probably….

My grandparents had coal heating at their farm in Ohio but I think we had natural gas. We did have an incinerator in our basement and a milk box for the milkman's deliveries, which you don't tend to see anymore.

Ooh…milk deliveries. I remember those.
